History of Mapúa Shell Eco-marathon

Formerly known as the Mapúa Institute of Technology, the team first participated in Shell Eco-marathon Asia in 2010. Its history is marked by three distinct phases, with each team having its own unique identity.

2010 – 2012

The pioneers of Shell Eco-marathon in the Philippines began with 8 Mechanical Engineering Students. Originally the thesis project of two groups, Mapúa University’s Shell Eco team has grown into a developed and capable team.
