For 59 years, the Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC) has remained a space where young Filipino artists can explore, express, and discover their creative voice. What began in 1951 as a platform for student artistry continues today as a stage for new perspectives, fresh narratives, and meaningful conversations through art.
This year’s theme, “SULYAP,” highlights the power of noticing and observations — the moments, emotions, and experiences that shape how we see the world around us. Through painting, photography, sculpture, and digital art, students are invited to turn these glimpses into works that reflect their own perspectives and creative voice.
With SULYAP, the 59th Shell NSAC continues to encourage a new generation of artists to create with curiosity, honesty, and intention.
