The purpose of the organization is to unite all Material Science and Engineering students of the university and to promote comaraderie and wholesome fellowship among members and other student organizations.

The mission is that the Materials Engineering Society will consistently nurture its members and the people of other societies through organized activities such as seminars, professional training, and other activities that aim to provide intellectual, social, and academic gain.
