International on-the-job trainings are part of Mapúa’s long-term initiatives to ensure students’ professional readiness and competitiveness. This program gives students additional knowledge on their future professions as well as the environment and working culture abroad. Students who have had their OJT abroad have an edge over those who have not. With their international exposure, these students have a global outlook and have a higher chance of being employed – locally and internationally. Mapúa has since sent 226 students for international OJTs particularly in China, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, USA, and Vietnam.
