Mapúa Students Showcase Innovation in Taiwan

Mapúa University highlighted another milestone in student achievement as two of its young innovators took part in the 5th SDG Asia in Taipei, Taiwan. Representing DEMAF 3D Printing & Fabrications, Boaz Drexel S. Balmonte, a Second-Year Industrial Engineering student, and Patrick Santiago B. Rogers, a Fourth-Year Mechanical Engineering student, were invited to exhibit sustainable products that demonstrated Filipino creativity and technical excellence before an international audience.

The exhibition, held from August 27–29, 2026, brought together innovators, organizations, and businesses from across Asia to share solutions that advance sustainable development. Through DEMAF’s work in 3D printing, design, and fabrication, the Mapúa team presented how sustainable concepts could be transformed into practical applications that address real‑world challenges.

Their participation marked a significant recognition not only of individual talent but also of the University’s broader commitment to developing innovation and preparing students to contribute meaningfully to global conversations on sustainability and technology. By joining this international platform, Mapúa students demonstrated that Filipino ingenuity can stand alongside the best in the region, this just reinforced the University’s reputation as a leader in engineering and applied sciences.

This achievement underscored Mapúa University’s dedication to empowering its students to pursue excellence beyond the classroom and to make an impact in both their profession and society.
