When is the enrolment?

  • Enrolment for Senior High School is on May 2-5, 2016. Please proceed to the South Circle for verification of documents. An Admissions staff will guide you with the flow of enrolment afterwards.

When is the start of classes?

  • The official start of classes will be on July 11, 2016.

What are the schedule of classes available for the Senior High School students?

*Only reserved enrollees can choose their preferred class schedule upon enrolment.

What will happen to the fees paid should the student wish to discontinue his/her studies at Mapúa for Senior High School?

  • Should the student wish to discontinue his/her study at Mapúa in the middle of the school year, payments already made will not be refunded. Moreover, the student must pay the remaining balance for the same year. Otherwise, school records will not be released.

How will the student go about the Senior High School Voucher Program?

    For students coming from Public Schools:

  • Students must bring on the enrolment day, the Original Grade 10 report card with the applicant’s eligibility for admission to Senior High School duly signed by the school principal.
  • Amount to be subsidized by the government is 22,500Php wherein voucher payments are released in two tranches in a School Year.

    For students coming from Private Schools:

  • Students must bring (together with the enrolment requirements) the original copy of their QVR (Qualified Voucher Recipient) Certificate which is provided by DepEd (Department of Education) on the enrolment day.
  • Amount to be subsidized by the government is 18,000Php wherein voucher payments are released in two tranches in a School Year.

    For ESC (Education Service Contracting) Grantees:

  • Students must bring (together with the enrolment requirements) the original copy of their ESC Certification which is provided by their respective Junior High Schools on the enrolment day.
  • Amount to be subsidized by the government is 18,000Php wherein voucher payments are released in two tranches in a School Year.

What are the enrolment requirements?

    Below are the list of requirements:

  • Mapúa Examination Permit or Examination Result Letter or Notice of Results
  • Original Grade 10 report card with the applicant's eligibility for admission to Senior High School duly signed by the school principal
    • If from a public school, Grade 10 report card with the student’s Learner Reference Number (LRN)
  • Original certificate of good moral character (dated February 2016 onwards) from the high school (with school seal)
  • Original Grade 9 report card (for EXEMPTED applicants who applied online)
  • Original birth certificate printed on National Statistics Office (NSO) paper
  • Original birth certificate printed on National Statistics Office (NSO) paper
  • 1 pc. ID picture (plain background), size 1½” x 1½”
  • One (1) long brown envelope to contain all of the above

Where can we buy books necessary for Senior High School?

  • Books will be available for purchase/claiming at the Mapúa Bookstore at the start of classes.
  • Students may purchase books on the day of the enrolment. Upon payment, they will be issued a stub, which they will present at the Mapúa Bookstore upon claiming.
  • On the other hand, if students will purchase books after enrolment, Generated Schedule and Assessment (GSA) together with the official receipt must be presented at the Treasurer’s Office as proof of enrolment.
  • If students wish to purchase books elsewhere, they may do so. The list of books will be provided on the enrolment day.

Is there a school uniform requirement?

  • Like college students, Senior High School students do not have any uniform requirement except for the P.E. uniform, which will be made available at the start of classes.
  • Once payment has been made for the P.E. uniform, students will be issued a stub, which they will present at the Mapúa Bookstore upon claiming.
  • Since there is no school uniform requirement, students are expected to dress properly and appropriately. Mapúa is lenient on how the students dress themselves but rest assured dress codes will be implemented.

Will Mapúa be accepting Senior High School transferees?

  • Mapúa will only be accepting Grade 11 transferees for the School Year 2016-2017.

When will be the release of results for the ETY SHS (E.T. Yuchengco Senior High School) Scholarship Program?

  • Results of the scholarship exam will be released on April 22, 2016.
  • ALL applicants must submit their application requirements on or before April 8, 2016 if they wish to be included in the cut-off for the ETY SHS Scholarship Exam.
  • Applicants who are required to take the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Examination (MSAE) should meet an 85% overall score to be qualified in taking ETY SHS Scholarship Exam.
